If you have spent any time on social media in 2026, you will have noticed that Sabrina Carpenter's hair is everywhere. The signature look is a warm, glossy blowout with volume at the roots, softly curved ends, and that effortless finish that somehow looks both polished and relaxed at the same time. It is the kind of hair that makes you want to book a salon appointment immediately.
You do not need a salon appointment. You need a blowout brush and the right technique.
What makes the look different
Root volume
Full at the crown, not flat against the head. Lift starts at the scalp, not halfway down the shaft.
Natural shine
Warm and glossy, not matte or product-coated. The hair catches the light and moves when she moves.
Soft end movement
Ends that curl softly inward or outward, giving the hair movement. Not pin-straight, not rigid.
Face-framing
The hair falls in a way that draws attention to the face. Volume pushed away from the face on both sides of the part.

Shop Heat ProtectantThe technique, step by step
Prep on damp hair
Start with freshly washed hair, towel-dried to about 70% damp. Apply volumising mousse from root to mid-length, then heat protectant evenly through all the hair. Comb through to distribute. This is the foundation of everything that follows.
Rough dry for root volume
Before picking up the blowout brush, rough dry for 2-3 minutes with a regular dryer. Flip your head upside down and direct all the airflow at the roots. This builds the foundation of volume that the blowout brush then amplifies. Sabrina's hair has real lift at the crown — this is where it starts.
Section and start at the back
Clip the top two-thirds up and work the bottom sections first in horizontal layers about 5-6cm deep. These back sections are covered but they build the overall shape and volume that supports everything above.
Root lift on every section — the key step
Position the brush at the root and point it upward toward the ceiling. Hold for 3-4 seconds with slight upward tension. Then pull through to the ends. The upward angle at the root is where the volume comes from. Most people pull straight down immediately — that is what creates a flat blowout.
Curve the ends
When you reach the last 5cm of each section, rotate the brush slightly inward or outward and hold for 2-3 seconds before releasing. The heat sets that slight curve into the hair. This is the detail that gives the look movement rather than flat, straight ends.
Face-framing sections
Work the sections around the face last. Direct these sections away from the face with a slight outward curve at the ends. This pushes volume away from the face, creating the widening, glamorous effect that defines the look.
Pin, cool, finish
Roll each finished section toward the scalp and pin with a clip. Leave while you get ready. Release when everything has cooled completely. Mist lightly with a flexible-hold spray from about 30cm away. Do not over-apply — movement is the goal, not freeze.
For shorter hair: use the Mini Blowout Brush
If your hair is above the shoulders, the G&C Mini Dual Voltage Blowout Brush is easier to manoeuvre and wraps around shorter sections more cleanly. Same technique, smaller barrel.
Shop Mini Blowout BrushHow long will it last?
With the cool-shot technique and the clip-and-cool method, this style holds for a full day and often into day two. A silk pillowcase makes second-day hair significantly better. A quick 3-minute touch-up on the face-framing pieces restores most of the original shape.
